GENERAL TERMS

Copies of official contest rules are available to the public by writing to Daily Herald, attn: Holiday Lights Photo Contest Rules, c/o Marketing Department, 155 E. Algonquin Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005.

1. ELIGIBILITY

There is no purchase necessary. Void where prohibited by or restricted by law. This contest is open only to persons who are legal residents of the United States for the duration of the contest. Employees of the Daily Herald, Reflejos, Business Ledger, Paddock Publications, Inc. or its affiliates, subsidiaries, employees, agents or other representatives of any kind and their immediate families are not eligible to participate. The winner may be required to execute affidavits of eligibility.

You must be eighteen years old or older to participate in this contest.

One photo entry per person/e-mail address will be considered. Only one winner per household or immediate family per 30-day period is permitted. You must be the owner, or have rights to the photo that you submit.

Each contest or voting registrant is allowed to vote as many times as they like during the voting period. The person may choose to vote for the same photo or divide up their votes among different photos.  Automated voting is not allowed.  Evidence of automated votes will result in disqualification of said votes.

2. THE PRIZES

Prize Terms

Prizes may not be substituted or redeemed for cash. All taxes, tips, gratuities and other miscellaneous expenses are the responsibility of the winner. Winners must make arrangements to claim their prizes by contacting PMA Outdoor Equipment, Inc. in St. Charles. The equipment must be picked up at a dealer specified by PMA Outdoor Equipment by Dec. 31, 2016. You may be asked to show a form of picture ID.

In the event that the winner is unable to claim the prize, another photo winner will be randomly selected. The odds of winning depend upon the total number of entries received.  In case of a tie the photo submission winner will be picked by a random drawing.

Prize value may be considered taxable income.  Winner may be required to fill out and return a W-2 before receiving the prize.

3. SELECTION OF THE WINNER

All decisions are final. Paddock Publications, Inc. reserves the right to amend or change the rules at any time during the course of the promotion. Winners will be contacted via telephone and/or e-mail. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to have their name(s) and/or likeness(es) posted on dailyherald.com or published in any Paddock Publications products and may be used in future promotions. Paddock Publications, Inc. reserve the right to cancel this game for any reason that it deems appropriate, including, without limitation, a computer virus, bug or other technical problem that corrupts the administration, security or proper functioning of this contest. Should this contest be cancelled prior to the applicable date(s) for entry, notice will be posted in versions of Paddock Publications, Inc. products.

4. RESERVATIONS

All entries become the property of Paddock Publications, Inc. and will not be returned. By entering the contest, each entrant agrees to be bound by these rules and the selection of winner, which is final and binding in all respects.

By entering, participants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Paddock Publications, Inc., its subsidiaries, affiliates and divisions, including their respective officers, directors, employees and agents; and sponsors from damages or losses arising from the use, misuse or possession of any prizes received.

Paddock Publications and/or its sponsors are not responsible for entries that are late, lost, stolen, misdirected, or non-deliverable due to any reason whatsoever, including, without limitation, online communication malfunction or failure, computer or computer program malfunction or failure, or human error that may occur in the processing of entries to this contest. Unlawful, unintelligible, illegible, obscene, indecent or incomplete entries will be disqualified. The sponsors reserve the right to scrutinize all entries for these requirements prior to entry in the contest.

By entering, you agree that Paddock Publications, Inc. may contact you for future promotions and/or with related information.
