Attention home bakers! Submit your recipe for a chance to win lots of great prizes, not to mention the opportunity to represent Daily Herald Media Group at America's Baking and Sweets Show.
To enter the challenge, simply submit your recipe in one of the following categories. The deadline to submit is October 21!
Note: Be sure to use standard U.S. measurements and include the number of servings.
Recipe contest categories:
Bread Pudding
Marble Bundt Cake
Pecan Pie
Lemon Pound Cake
Peanut Brittle
Coconut Macaroon
Oatmeal Cookie
Butter Tarts
Christmas Fruit cakes
Carrot Muffins
How it works:
Round one: Submit your recipe in U.S. standard measurements. Make sure it falls into one of the ten categories! All submissions will be reviewed by our baking expert, Deb Pankey. The top three recipes will be selected from each category (30 finalists). All finalists get a prize!
Round two: The 30 finalists will present their recipes at the Home Baking Event on November 7th, where they will be sampled and judged by our panel of experts. Recipes will be judged on overall taste, creativity, appearance and texture. The top recipe in each category will be selected - these ten finalists will go on to represent Daily Herald Media Group at America's Baking and Sweets Show!
Round three: The ten finalists will compete with other contestants in America's Baking and Sweets Show home cooking challenge on the following dates:
November 15: Coconut Macaroons, Oatmeal Cookies, Bread Pudding
November 16: Marble Bundt Cake , Christmas Fruit Cake, Lemon Pound Cake, Pecan Pie, Butter Tarts, Peanut Brittle, Carrot Muffin
