Is your room a perfect place to relax with friends and family, watch a movie, get some work done in comfort, entertain guests? Is it attractive, up-to-date, fashionable and reflective of your unique style and taste?
No? Ours isn't either. That's why we are offering our readers a chance to win a room makeover package in our first ever Room for Living contest!
All you have to do is upload a picture of your living-challenged room and tell us why you should win (in 300 words or less) for a chance to win a room makeover package. Our panel of interior designers and industry experts will select 20 finalists. Our experts will suggest design solutions and makeover options for each of the 20 finalists in the Sunday Home & Garden section over 5 weeks, to help readers with similar room-issues come up with ideas for their own spaces.* At the end of five weeks, we will announce the winners of the two (2) Room for Living prize packages valued at $10,000 each.
Contest Dates
The submission period begins on September 8, 2013 at 12 a.m. and ends on September 27, 2013 at 12 p.m.
*Please note: Being selected as a finalist does not mean you will neccesarily receive the design suggestion offered for your room. The designs created for your room are meant to be an example to inspire readers and help readers learn design techniques they can use in their homes. At the end of five weeks, two winners will be chosen from among the finalists, and designers will work with the winners individually to come up with a design that incorporates their individual preferences.
