How does the contest work?
It's easy!
Is your garden in desperate need of a makeover? Does your fantasy backyard look nothing like what you see out the kitchen window? Is your patio pitiful? Need to make your entryway more inviting?
Upload a picture of your yard or garden on the "Submit an Entry" page. Tell us in 300 words or less why you think you deserve the Get Your Summer On yard Makeover. Our panel of landscape designers and industry experts will select 20 yards and offer makeover options.
Beginning May 5, we will give away weekly prizes for those photos that are used in the weekly transformation features running in the Sunday Home & Garden section. These prizes are valued at $25.
At the end of five weeks, we will announce the winners of the five (5) Get Your Summer On prize packages ranging in value from $5,000 to $10,000.
Are there prizes?
Yes! We've got great prizes – products that will enhance your outside space from landscaping materials to patio furniture to ponds. We have smaller prizes for all 20 who are selected, as well as larger prizes valued between $5,000 to $10,000. The winners will be chosen by a panel of industry experts.
Contest Dates
The submission period begins on March 10, 2013 at 12:00am and ends on April 12, 2013 at 12 p.m .
Winner announcements will begin on May 5, 2013.
